• 3/9/10: A 12th U14 team has been added and the pools have been revised accordingly.

• 3/8/10: ALL SATURDAY POOLS HAVE BEEN POSTED.  Teams will play a full round of pool and at least 1 additional match in the second round of pool on Saturday.

• 3/3/10: ALL SITES HAVE BEEN POSTED, POOLS WILL BE POSTED BY MONDAY, MARCH 8TH

• All Pools will begin play at 8:30 AM Saturday, doors open at all sites at 7:45, coaches meeting at 8:00 AM.

Thank-you for your interest in the 2010 Adidas Spring Classic Tournament in Bellevue, Washington. This tournament has become a great mid-season two-day tournament with quality competition for teams of all skill levels.  It is also one of the few opportunities for U12's to play in a multi-day tournament.  The tournament will be held at various schools in and around Bellevue, Kirkland, and Bothell. The tournament will be a two-day progressive pool play format with one round of pool play on Saturday and a second round of pool play and playoffs on Sunday.

This tournament provides an excellent opportunity for out of state teams play volleyball against some of the best teams in the Northwest.  Accommodations in the Bellevue area are very easy to find, making the tournament convenient for out of town teams.

 

This event has been a huge success in years past and will offer great competition for all most groups at a reasonable price. 

The tournament format will be pool play all day  Saturday and Sunday morning with playoffs Sunday afternoon (every team is guaranteed a minimum of six matches). Play should continue no later than 5:00 p.m. on Sunday (some finals), so make your plans accordingly.  On occasion, in some divisions we have used the AM/PM wave format on Saturday -- which means full pool and playoffs on Sunday.

Entry Deadline: February 17^th, 2010

There will be a $25 late fee for entries postmarked after February 17^th and entries after the deadline will only be accepted to fill the tournament.

Any teams wishing to drop out of the tournament between January 1st and February 17th will incur a $50 administrative fee; teams wishing to drop out between February 18th and March 4th will lose 1/2 of their entry fee. After March 4th there will be no refund of entry fee.

Check-in and a coaches meetings will be at 7:30 am at your playing site Saturday morning.

Please bring official team rosters to check-in your team.  You cannot check in without your roster! The coach’s meeting will relay any scheduling changes that would not show on the playing schedule (which we publish online before the event). The most updated playing schedule and other pertinent information will be provided in this meeting. You will receive the complete pool play schedule along with all other pertinent information.

All pool play matches will be 2/3 to 25 points with a 27 point cap.  Game 3 is to 15, no cap.

Playoffs will be the same format, with no caps in any games.

During a team's officiating turn teams must supply a first referee, second referee, lines people, and scorekeeper crew.

There will be no playoff games to settle ties. Tie-breaking procedures will be as follows: In the case of a two-way tie; the results of the match between the tied teams will determine the higher place. In the case of a three-way tie, the highest place will be determined as follows: 1. Games Won-lost percentage. If still tied, then: 2. Overall points in the pool. The next two places will be determined by the head -to-head match between the two remaining teams.

Many sites will feature a store with the latest footwear and apparel from Adidas as well as volleyball equipment. Event tees will also be available at most sites.

Gym locations, directions, and maps will be provided when final.
